Bridgnorth Boxing Academy is a volunteer run boxing club.
Since our start in October 2019 we have had 100's of boxers through the door across our sessions and we have also run a number of taster sessions in schools and community youth projects across Shropshire.
We have run satellite clubs within school settings with the focus to support children and young people with re-engaging with education.
Our goal is to promote and provide the opportunity for individuals of all ages and ability to access the sport of boxing. Bridgnorth Boxing Academy is committed to providing a welcoming and nurturing environment for individuals to learn the basics of boxing whether that is for fun, fitness or with the aspirations to box competitively in the future.
We aim to continue the growth of the club and offer boxing to more members than ever before.
So why not join us today?

Why Boxing : My question is why not boxing. Quite simply there isn't another sport quite like it, literally no barriers to entry to the sport whether its for fitness, fun or to compete there simply is no sport in the world that compares.

Name: Verity Hart
Favourite Boxer: Mikaela Mayer, Katie Taylor, Anthony Joshua and Vladimir Klitschko
Why Boxing: My dad loved watching boxing when I was a kid so I always watched with him, I started boxing for fitness at the age of 37 but then got interested in the technique, strategy and discipline. I retired from competitive boxing, undefeated, after 4 fights, in March 2019. I have turned to coaching as I have witnessed first hand the positive influence sport and boxing has on young people, not only that but because of boxing I am fitter now than I was in my teens and 20’s so want to give back to the sport that gave me so much.
